Appointments
You may request office appointments by phone 516.775.0778. /if this is
your first massage at this office, please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out
your paperwork. All new clients must fill out a client intake form.
What to Expect
Before any treatment can begin, we will review the client intake form and
find out about your medical history, whether there are any
contra-indications to treatment and your reasons for choosing a particular
treatment. All information given will be confidential.
Following the intake the therapist will leave the treatment room to allow
you privacy as you undress to your comfort level and get on the table
under the sheets. The therapist will knock before entering the treatment
room to ensure that you are ready for the session to begin. Your privacy is
our utmost concern. You will be draped at all times during the session and
only the part of the body being worked on will be uncovered. Your modesty
will be respected at all times.
Communication is key to the success of your massage sessions. We will
check in with you throughout the massage regarding pressure, techniques
and comfort levels. If you feel uncomfortable for any reason, please
communicate that the therapist so the work can be adjusted accordingly.
We ask that you pay attention to your body and note any changes that you
experience following your massages. We will keep progress charts of each
session and any additional feedback from you may be noted in your file.
Cleanliness
As health care practitioners we ask that you do not schedule a session if
you are ill especially if you have a contagious illness. Massage can
exacerbate the sickness and put the therapists and our other patients at risk
for infection. We ask that you arrive to your session with good hygiene and
cleanliness and we will do the same. It's best not to arrive to your session
with a full stomach as you may experience discomfort from the techniques
and body positioning during the session.
Ethics
Bodywork benefits the whole body and massage therapy has become a
reputable and recognized therapy thanks to increased awareness and
interest in complementary therapies and alternative medicine.
Physical contact is made in the context of holistic treatment. At no time
will erotic or sensual massage be performed. Inappropriate requests will
cause the session to be terminated immediately.
Our therapists are all formally trained and qualified to perform therapeutic
massage of various modalities. We are professionals who work on the basis
of mutual trust and respect.
Allergies
Please alert us to any fruit, nut or seed allergies you may have so we can
use the appropriate oil or cream.
Payment & Gratuity
We accept payment in the form of Cash, Check, Credit Cards (Mastercard
Visa and Discover only). All payments must be made at the end of the
session. Series and packages must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
In lieu of cash gratuity, we prefer you refer us to your friends and family.
Cancellations
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your
appointment for any reason please let us know 24 hours in advance of your
scheduled start time.
